The Farmer John

A few weeks ago our cousin Tyler introduced use to a website he stumbled upon - the Cheese and Burger Society. We've been salivating ever since! If you go to the site, make sure you have sound ... it's just wouldn't be the same without sound!

Not to give too much away, but last night we really wanted to make one of the cheeseburgers from the site ... it was hard, but we settled on the Farmer John (#7). We didn't quite have everything we needed so we headed to the store to pick-up the ingredients we didn't have ... this particular cheeseburger consists of:

  • French toast made with french bread
  • thick cut bacon
  • beef patty
  • hash-browns
  • Limburger cheese
Tyler was the only one that could stomach the Limburger (not that it necessarily tasted bad, but man did it smell awful!), so Richelle and I chose to substituted Muenster cheese instead, though the limburger wasn't nearly as, um, aromatic, after it had been melted, so maybe we should have given it a try. Regardless, the Farmer John proved to be more than a match for our appetites. They were absolutely delicious, but boy did they fill us to the brim!

We can't quite decide what mountain of deliciousness to tackle next, but we're eying the the Sheboygan (#26), the Casanaova (#1), and the Highwayman (#12) pretty closely. You'll have to let us know if you give any of the cheeseburgers a try.
