Catching Up 2: Lincoln's 2-Month Appointment

Lincoln had his 2-month checkup on July 27th. I had to work so I couldn't make it, so Richelle took my mom with her. The appointment was really, really good, and really, really needed. Lincoln had been increasingly more and more fussy, and the Prevacid we'd been given to help his acid-reflux hadn't really been working anymore, which meant he cried all the time, wanted to eat every hour, would spit up everything he ate, and hardly ever sleep for more than just an hour at a time. This had been taking it's toll on us, though especially Richelle.

Our pediatrician was great though ... he sat and talked with Richelle for nearly 45 min., answering all her questions, and talking to her about what to do. He did confirm that Lincoln has a pretty bad case of acid-reflux, and prescribed us Zantac for him to take ... he told us that we'd probably have to switch between the Prevacid and Zantac every once in awhile to keep Lincoln happy (and so far he's been right). It has made all the difference! He's happy, and giggles, and is just so content when the meds are working for him. He sleeps more and eats less often, which has made a big difference for Richelle.

He did say that Lincoln's hip was popping some, and wanted us to check it out ... since I took so long to actually update the blog I can report that Lincoln already got checked out and everything is just fine! We were a little worried for a bit, but it turned out to be nothing.

Phew!
