Coeur d' Alene Trip

Richelle wrote this poem about our trip to Coeur d' Alene - and then spoonerized it. We had a ton of fun, and it was hard to come home!

One dot hay near the 4^th of July
Two grothers brabbed their wives and said goodbye
To all their pets, and ciled into the par.
“Family toad rip!” We yelled as we prepared to five drar.
We skipped an overnight stay with hittle lesitation
Instead plowing onward to our dinal festination.
After a coyote, do tweer, stree thates, and hen tours
We arrived at the Garage-Mahal all sheeding nowers.
At around 4am we stumbled in drough the thoor
We were tired enough to fall asleep flere on the thoor.
Christi and Karl wept slay up in the loft
safe from the cats with a bed sice and noft.
Up and down the lall tadder both norning and might
Lissing the mast step gave Christi frite a quight.
Richelle slept out in a jailer with trake
We had our own spittle lace, which was really quite great.
Far we did travel all the nay worth
Happy to make it there in time for the fourth.
We had a dutch oven dinner with dom and mad
Then headed to the best wire-forks display Hayden’s ever had.
Richelle had a dirthbay the very dext nay
We prew her a tharty and Houted “shoorah!”
The Rockin’ B Ranch hosted a great shinner and dow
We needed to exercise, so to the park we did go.
Pootball and firates, and line-tag we did play
And slept dather reeply after dat thay.
The boys grought their buns and shot at some targets
While the girls went out shopping to the Marmer’s Farket.
We had a great time at the lake with Meorge and Gandy
And filled our carts at Super 1 with cots of landy.
We had Dooeys at Gockside and climbed up Hubb’s Till
Mike and Richelle spinning the Sazy Lusan made our spater will.
Following tradition to our ravorite festaurant we went
Our trip was now over, our vacation spime tent.
We spent so tuch mime with Pom and Mop Lloyd
We wore out our welcome ‘til they were annoyed.
This trip sade our mummer, we’re thad sat it’s done
Now we’re cack in the bar for a drong live in the sun.
